The team at Jetstar have provided each P-TECH student with a polo shirt that is worn with pride and maturity.

Connor Opperman in Year 11 says, “It is such a privilege to be associated with P-TECH and having this
uniform is absolutely brilliant.”

Jetstar Airways are one of six committed partners in the Port Stephens pilot program, many of whom are keen for a career in the field after finishing school.

Greg says, “There are jobs, and these students are going to be our candidates.”

“Local jobs for local people, so it is a win-win outcome,” he said.

Adrian Smith is studying both Engineering and Aeroskills to broaden his opportunities and told Liana Nadalin,

Industry Liaison Officer for Skilling Australia Foundation, “It feels inspiring to know that Jetstar Airways are
willing to spend their time and dedication on students like us to help teach us the fundamental skills.”

The new polo shirts are part of a uniform that all P-TECH students wear each week, showing their fellow students that they are involved with this special program.

Kerrie Howells from Hunter River High School told News Of The Area, “Our aim at Hunter River High School is to ensure P-TECH students are ready to promote themselves in the workplace and start the journey towards their future goals.”

“From the P-TECH Team at HRHS, we say thank you Jetstar Airways and P-TECH Port Stephens for
committing and investing into these students and their future goals.”

“HRHS would also like to extend a big thank you to Ray and Stacey and the team at Twin Rivers Work Wear for supporting our school,” she said.
