THE Bulahdelah Central School community enjoyed a Pirate Day recently, raising $180 for childhood brain cancer.
“Shiver me timbers! What an awesome day Pirate Day was!” said Bulahdelah Central School Assistant Principal Hayley Nicholson.
“The Primary pirates had a bunch of fun dressing up to raise awareness and a ton of treasure for childhood brain cancer.
“The infant’s crew participated in a range of pirate themed art and craft, decorated pearl and oyster biscuits, and made paddle-pop treasure chests.
“Our upper-Primary pirates enjoyed an ‘Amazing Race’ style treasure hunt, undertaking a range of challenges and literacy puzzles to find the hidden pirate loot,” she said.
