PORT Stephens Mayor Ryan Palmer joined Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter Scot MacDonald MLC in NSW Parliament today for several important meetings concerning the Port Stephens community.

Firstly Mr Palmer joined the Elected Representatives Group on the PFAS contamination affecting the communities around RAAF Williamtown.

Mr Palmer and Mr MacDonald then met with the Premier, The Hon Gladys Berejiklian MP to discuss key issues affecting residents of Port Stephens.

Afterwards was a meeting with the Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight The Hon Melinda Pavey MP to discuss road issues in Port Stephens, including Nelson Bay Road.

Mr MacDonald said, “Today’s meetings with senior State Government leaders was important to put Port Stephens and Mayor Ryan Palmer on the map.”

“I am sure this will be the start of a constructive and productive relationship with the NSW Liberal National Government”.
