2018 has already seen a picnic day, walking group activities and a fishing day, with a movie night, mixed bowls and a barbeque on the upcoming schedule.

2017 was a huge year for the club which finished off with a rally of activities.

One recent activity was the Fishing group with leader David, and a mob travelling to Karuah for a very enjoyable day of fishing and a barbeque lunch.

President Ann Gibson told News Of The Area, “Probus is about fun and fellowship and the Probus Club of Port Stephens is very active, our activities ensure that there is something for everyone.”

She believes that being part of Probus is a great way to stay connected with your community.

“We welcome new members all the time,” she said.

The Probus Club of Port Stephens has a general meeting on the 8 February, 9.30am at Nelson Bay Bowling Club, everyone is welcome.

Any interested retirees or semi-retirees are welcome to attend and check out this active mixed gender club.
