Only a few “croquet novices” were in attendance as most of the Probus players had visited previously and had developed skills and strategies to handle the “experts” on their own lawn.

Those novices were soon “up to speed” and were fully involved in their games.

No quarter was asked, or given. Cheers were the order of the day as opponents were “hit away” and “hoops were run”.

A total of close to 35 players enjoyed a great day with a wonderful lunch on a perfect day.
