They were cooking up a delicious BBQ to raise money for the local community at Dan Murphy’s Raymond Terrace.
Volunteer Ms Judith Bee told News Of The Area, “The money raised goes towards local projects such as the diabetes foundation.”
“We also contribute funds from this and other events to childhood cancer research, seats at the RSL memorial, parish pantry, The Salvos, $500 annual disbursements to local schools, MarketPlace defibrillators and more.”
“Recently, we worked with the Medowie Lions Club and put in a bariatric chair in the Raymond Terrace pool.”
Locals can support the Lions Club activity and eat a delicious sausage sizzle at the same time.
