The Bulahdelah Showground Bar is undergoing a transformation and will be completed in time for opening of the 2016 Bulahdelah Show.
The renovations are being carried out by Show Society members and include replacing the rotted timber with corrugated iron and constructing an awning to cover the front area.
Show Society President Gary Gooch said the historic structure has been in use since the very first show in 1922.

“People have said the bar is a part of the showground and can’t be removed, so we’ve decided to make it better,” he said.
“We want to keep the Country Show Bar look and considering it’s a major landmark of the showground, we want to retain its value.”
Mr Gooch told News Of The Area the bar has been moved several times throughout its long history.
“This is the original shed, it has just been towed to different spots,” he said
“It was originally where the soccer field is now, right up against what was then tea tree scrub.”
The bar was also located on the site of canteen building before it was moved to its current position.
Mr Gooch said the renovations to the shed are the first in at least 20-years and were necessary due to the state of disrepair and decay of the structure.
The 2016 Bulahdelah Show will be held on 18 and 19 November.
