Rotary’s Program Director, Ian Mackenzie Smith told News Of The Area,”The POW Award is not a competition, it’s a recognition of an individual’s vocational achievement.”

Rotary believes the sense of responsibility to do a job well, is one of the greatest intangible assets in our Community.

“Rotary would like to give employers the opportunity to nominate one of their employees, who, in their opinion, is displaying qualities worthy of such an award,” Ian Mackenzie-Smith said.

Nominees will be judged by a panel of Rotarians and those successful will be presented with their Award at a Presentation Dinner to be organized by the Club on Monday 12 March, 2018.

Any employers interested in learning more about the Awards or in obtaining a nomination form, please ring Ian on 0423 470 709.

And just a reminder, Rotary’s Giant Book Sale is on again at the Hawks Nest Community Hall.

Put the dates Friday 5, Saturday 6, Sunday 7 of January 2018 in your diary to grab a great bargain and restock your literary shelves.
