Joining the band, armed with his trombone, will be one of the local organisers of the concert, Alan Calcutt.

“I’m really looking forward to it,” Alan said.

“There will be some arrangements of traditional hymn settings, some modern church music, some secular band music, marches and of course tambourines.”

The band, which is made up of 25 members, visited Tea Gardens last year for the first time, attracting 200 people to the concert.

This year Alan is hoping to top that number.

The concert is being held at the Baptist Church on Myall Street, Tea Gardens at 2.30 pm on Sunday 12 August.
