“My list is already well underway, so is all the toy making, preparations and wrapping,” Santa said.

“The children’s letters keep me informed about what toys they like, who their friends are and what they are thinking.”
Santa said electronic toys have been popular requests this year.

“Some children have asked for old favourites such as bikes, scooters, skateboards, cricket sets and teddy bears,” he said.
“iPads and electronic games have also been on many of the children’s lists.”

Santa said he has read some very special requests in addition to some unusual ones.

“There was one letter in particular at Tea Gardens Post Office where a child wanted nothing for themselves, but wished that their uncle could come home for Christmas as he was in hospital,” Santa said.

“There have also been some interesting requests in letters at Bulahdelah Post Office asking for snakes and fish.”

Tea Gardens Post Office Manager Monica Back and Roger Dixon from Bulahdelah Post Office said they will continue to collect Santa’s mail up until the 16 December.

All children who have mailed their letters by this date will receive a reply before Christmas.
