The day was hosted at St. Joseph’s Bulahdelah and Catholic schools from Taree, Gloucester and Forster attended.

St. Josephs Bulahdelah Debating Team consisted of Seren Everingham, Elizabeth Wylie, Sophia Stubbs and Gayathri Rajan and they debated on a range of topics.

The Bulahdelah Debating Team claimed a very dominant victory over St Joseph’s Taree to start the day and this was followed by another comprehensive victory over St Joseph’s Gloucester.

The St. Josephs Bulahdelah Debating Team finished the day as the highest scoring team but were very unlucky to be defeated by a strong team from Holy Name Forster.

Parents and teachers from visiting schools commented on how impressed they were with the ability of our students.

Principal Joanne Trotter said,

“The teachers and parents are so incredibly proud of the St Joseph’s Bulahdelah Debating Team!”

She also wanted to give thanks to the generous donation by the P&F for the blazers that were worn by the Bulahdelah students on the day.
