THE students of St Philip’s Christian College at Salamander Bay are participating in the College’s Annual Art Show.

Their works will be shown alongside local artists from the Bay as well as artists from the wider Hunter region.

The exhibition will be held at the Chris Wakling Theatre in the grounds of St Philip’s Christian College, Salamander Way, Salamander Bay from 6-7 April.

Port Stephens Mayor Ryan Palmer will be officially opening the Art Show.

Students will exhibit works in the Young Archie Awards and local exhibiting artists include Scott Ireland, Ileana Clark, Anna Webster, Joana Johnston, Nada O’Loughlin, Peter Masters, Robyn Killen, Michelle Cocking, Fran Davidson, and Maria Hine.

Janet Mackintosh told News Of The Area, “The St Philip’s Christian College Art Show is a great community event that showcases the talent of many of our local artists.

“We enjoy opening up our gates to welcome the community into the school.

“As a school we love to expose our students to a range of opportunities and encourage them to develop their talents,” she said.

The school is excited that so many local artists have been able to showcase their artwork at the school and for the broader community at this event.
