INDIANNA Indianna Green, Event Manager for the 2016 Surfarama could not be more pleased with the attendance today at Birubi beach for the final leg of the Surfarama series.

The Surfarama is a surf competition series that has the objective to help young amateur surfers fulfil their surfing career.
This is done through prize money.

The Port Stephens Surfarama presented by Kao s Surf and Vissla is the fourth and final Surfarama event this year.

It has been confirmed that there will be 6 Surfarama events in 2017.
“Based on the comments and feedback, this has been a huge success,” Indianna said.
Johnnie Keith, 22 of Blue Bay, Central Coast, won the Open Men’s Finals, and said, “The start of the year I didn’t do very good.”

“This, though is a good starter for next year, and the prize money is a bonus to top it off and to help pay for future comps.”

Johnnie, would also like to thank his sponsor Slimes and Indianna for running the events.
Indianna is keen to acknowledge the sponsors, who she said, “Without their support, we could not do this event and the prize money really makes a huge difference to the competitors.”

Therefore, Indianna would like to acknowledge the generous support of Kaos Surf, Vissla, Ocean and Earth, Salamander Bay Shopping Centre and Telstra Salamander Bay.
