The blaze posed a significant threat to residential areas and local road networks.

Upon arrival at the scene, RFS crews discovered a large expanse of bush engulfed in flames, with the fire dangerously close to homes and major thoroughfares.

In an effort to gain control over the situation, firefighters implemented “tactical burns” to create containment lines and prevent the spread of the fire.

Crews worked through the night to extinguish the blaze.

A spokesperson for the RFS revealed that the nature of the blaze is currently under investigation, with early indications pointing towards suspicious origins.
