The group will perform on Saturday 5 August at 2pm in Hawks Nest Community Hall, before they continue on a northern tour.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased from Hawks Nest or Tea Gardens Pharmacies, with some available at the door.

Although the concert is entitled ‘Strings and Harp’, patrons will also have the opportunity to hear David Miller accompany on the piano.

Head of Performance Studies at Sydney Conservatorium of Music, David is widely recognised as one of Australia’s leading pianists, chamber musicians and accompanists, and was appointed as a member of the Order of Australia for his service to music.

Student performers include Maria Fedotov who is currently completing her final year of a Bachelor of Music Performance on Viola and Jessica An, who began learning violin at the age of four.

Violinist Rachel Williams from regional Victoria, Western Australian harpist Will Nichols and cellist Alisdair Guiney will also feature in the concert.

As always, each of the musicians comes with a remarkable CV with wide experience despite their youth.
Myall U3A is always privileged to sponsor this visit which will also include a workshop at Tea Gardens Public School on Friday 4 August.

Students will have the opportunity to hear and see the instruments close up and meet and chat with the musicians.
