ALL good Queens use their powers for good, and not evil.

Pageant Queen hopeful Emilie Hardes is certainly doing just that in her bid to become the 2017 Mrs Galaxy Australia in the National final, of which she is currently a finalist.

Emilie is a married mother of two from Tanilba Bay, who is loving her pageant journey so far.

Emilie told News Of The Area, “I’ve put myself on the back burner since having my little girls, and this journey has helped me to achieve so much self confidence.”

“Being in this role has made me consciously take better care of myself, and find more balance for both myself and my little family.”

“I’ve flourished on this journey, I’m getting my old self back and I’m loving every bit of getting out into our community and finding new things to support and be a part of on this adventure,” she said.

The final of the pageant will be held in Surfers Paradise in late March of this year.

The competition will include sections for swimwear, fashion wear and evening gown, as well as an interview.

If Emilie is successful, the winner from each section is sent to America to compete on an international level.

For the year following crowning, winners are expected to remain active within their community, and also attend events and appearances.

In the meantime, Emilie is keeping busy participating in, and organising, lots of events in the community.

Emilie visits local nursing homes, organises charity raffles and fundraisers and volunteers at local events.

Coming up on 5 March, Emilie is hosting a clean up Australia event in Tanilba Bay and would love some local support.

You can register to join Emilie in her campaign by registering at cleanupaustraliaday.org.au and joining her and her team at Tanilba Park.
