The World Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement of Christian women from more than 170 countries and regions, who come together to share their hopes and fears, their joys and sorrows, their opportunities and needs.

“This year Slovenia is the host country and we’ll have a programme which includes concerns about cultural, environmental and religious issues,” Ruth Calcutt said.

“As we share in this service we will be praying for these issues as well as the Bible Society’s project this year ‘Trauma Counselling for Women’ with funds raised for this much needed Slovenian project.”

Ruth said, “We are planning to have some Slovenian items on display, a slide show of this beautiful country as well as some Slovenian music.”

“All are invited to join us for this service and the afternoon tea that will follow.”

The Tea Gardens Baptist Church is located at 115 Myall Street.
