“Friday 2 November is fast approaching with spots filling quickly,” Dave Coyle said.
“We were 4 players short of a full course last year and am hopeful of reaching the magical number of 144 players this year.”
The Police Charity Golf day is one of the most popular events on the Hawks Nest golf calendar.
David Coyle told News Of The Area, “It is a Charity Day which has seen our local Meals on Wheels receive new fridges and stainless steel kitchens.”
“The Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Surf Club has been given new training boards for the juniors.”
And the list goes on.
Money raised from the Police Golf Charity day has put electric raise chairs in our local nursing homes, put a year’s fuel in the Clinic Bus and a set of jerseys for the school football team.
This is also a day close to Dave Coyle’s heart.
“A portion of the last two years donations have gone to the Mark Hughes foundation after my organising partner lost his very quick battle with brain cancer.”
“We have some great sponsors on board with some amazing prizes on offer which include a Toro self propelled mower, holiday packages at Hawks Nest and a golf package for two nights at Bonville just to name a few prizes on offer.”
“For your $50 entry fee, you get a round of golf, breakie, a hot lunch, a golf ball and stubby holder, a better value day you won’t find.”
