Although our members have been permitted to have organised “roll ups” on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for the last month it definitely was not the same.

On Thursday 2nd July 20 ladies enjoyed bowling, format for play 3 bowl Pairs, 12 ends. All bowlers strictly followed instructions issued on the 25th June from WBNSW and BNSW regarding meeting Public Health Order conditions, 20 people on a bowling green at any one time, physical distancing, hand hygiene and disinfection of equipment.

On Rink 1 Sheila Rattray and Loretta Baker 10 v Bev Rhodes and Judi Polak 5.Irene Roberts and Karen McPhie well and truly out bowled Sue Morris and Lynda Richards winning by 11 shots 16 v 5.

A good win also to Bev Dunn and Pat Baker 14 v Jean Glover and Judy McGavock 6. A tied game 12 all between Dot Dallas and Dale Winter v Jan Coomer and Robyn Beaumont. A great win also for Carol Hayden and Dorothy Thompson 14 v Ingrid Luck and Sandra Leisemann 3.

Club Championship Major Singles and Major Pairs will be contested. Major Singles Round 1 to commence on Tuesday 21st July. Entries for this event close on Tuesday 14th July. Major Pairs Competition will start Tuesday 1st September. District Singles and Pairs Competition are to be bowled in August(members can refer to our bowling calendar for exact dates). AGM is scheduled for the 4th August prior to bowls.
