The Southern Hold to play final Summer Evenings live music event in Wootton

Live music in the Great Lakes Paddocks

AFTER the entertainment industry faded in 2020, there was little hope of live music making an appearance again.

The Great Lakes Paddocks, a local farm in Wootton took this challenge and created the series ‘Summer Evening in the Back Paddock’, a recurring family friendly live music event.

The final event of the series will be held at Great Lakes Paddocks on 23 January with The Southern Hold as the final act.

From 3:00pm-6:00pm the duo will be playing a mix of indie, folk, rock and acoustic tunes.

It’s guaranteed that there will be something for the whole family.

Premiering with a New Year’s Eve gig, the Summer Evenings events have showcased the talents of The Good Fellas, Goldheist Collaboration, Darren Jack and Young Floyd.

The series has been family friendly, dog friendly and at a licensed venue.

“We’re really excited to be playing at Great Lakes Paddocks again, it’s one of our favourite venues.

“2020 was a really tough year for all musicians, so we feel so fortunate to have such a great family-friendly outdoor venue in the area.

“Everyone always has so much fun at these gigs, including us.

“I think COVID has made people realise the value of being able to attend live music and you can feel the excitement and enthusiasm of everyone there”, said Lee Murrau and Greg Nix of The Southern Hold.

Pack a picnic, bring your comfiest rug and head down to The Great Lake Paddocks for a COVID-19 safe live music event.

Tickets are $20 and available from EventBrite. https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/summer-evenings-2020-the-southern-hold-tickets-136223723825?aff=ebdssbdestsearch.
