Three charged over drug supply at Taree

Police have charged three people with drug supply following a controlled operation on the states mid north coast.

Operation Medina, run by officers from Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command, was an ongoing investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs in the Taree area.

About 3.30pm yesterday (Monday 16 March 2015) a 17-year-old girl was stopped by officers after leaving a premise on Ronald Road, Taree.

A search of her vehicle allegedly located prohibited drugs and cash.

She was arrested and taken to Taree Police Station where she was charged with supply prohibited drug (x2) and possess prohibited drug.

She was given bail and will appear at a Children’s Court on April 24, 2015.

As a result of the operation, police yesterday arrested a 38-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman at the Ronald Road home.

They were taken to Taree Police Station where the man was charged with supply prohibited drug (x5), possess prohibited drug and ongoing drug supply.

He was refused bail, and will appear in Taree Local Court today (Tuesday 17 March 2015).

The woman was charged with supply prohibited drug (x7), possess prohibited drug and ongoing supply.

She was also refused bail and will appear in Taree Local Court today.
