Dear News Of The Area,
The Thursday Walkers’ penultimate walk for the year was a local one on a track heading out from Lions Hill.

Michael led us out and into the bush. Some track, some bush bashing.
It was a lovely morning and we all managed the at times challenging walk with ease.
Note to self, remember to take the poles. You never know when they will come into their own.
Juxtaposed against spectacular artworks created by nature was the eyesore of dumped rubbish left by humans.
Is it just me turning into a cranky old woman, or are we entering a new era of tossers and dumpers?
2016 has been another great year for the Thursday Walkers with high points being the two camps at Forster and Nundle and the day walks around our area’s spectacular bush and coastline.
Thanks must go to our wonderful leaders for this year, Ray and Cherry, who willingly took on this mantle.
Hopefully they will be happy to give it another go. Thanks also to those who led walks and sought out new ones.
See you for another year of walking and talking in 2017.
Helen Watkins,
Tea Gardens
