In the past they have refurbished the Palliative Care Lounge and funded a Palliative Care Nurse and have now their fundraising as funded a centrifuge unit for the hospital.

The centrifuge separates liquids and fluids based on density and may be used on blood and other samples collected at the hospital.

The team of ladies have been running a Mother’s Day raffle at Salamander Bay Shopping Centre which has already raised over $1000 and will be back with another raffle over what they hope will be a busy June Long Weekend.

You will find them at the Salamander Bay Shopping Centre and in the town centre of Nelson Bay cheerfully selling raffle tickets to raise funds for improved equipment and patient experiences at the hospital.

Pauline Faucett of the Tomaree Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary told News Of The Area, “We raise money for the hospital so that patients and their families can have a better experience when they are here.”

The volunteers work tirelessly to fund better equipment and services at the hospital, which they believe offers a great service to Tomaree Peninsula residents.
