Two arrested after Lidcombe stabbing

Two men are assisting with inquiries after another man was stabbed at Lidcombe tonight (Wednesday 4 September 2014).

About 8.10pm an altercation has occurred between two males inside a unit at Mary Street.

As a result of the altercation, a man in his mid-twenties sustained a small wound to his stomach.

The injured man has run to a nearby restaurant where patrons raised the alarm.

He was assessed on site by Ambulance paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital. His injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

Two men were arrested at the unit and they will be assisting detectives from Flemington Local Area Command with their inquiries.
