United Bulahdelah opened its 24-hour a day site last week, with E10 Unleaded selling for less than $1.10 per litre.

United spokesperson Andrew English said the low fuel prices are set to continue.

“The price is significantly under what people in the region are used to paying, and we will hold it for a few more weeks to give people the opportunity to see the new site,” he said.

“Majors have been operating for a long time, and our strategy is to bring competition to the area and bring fuel prices down.”

According to the NRMA’s Bowser Buster Report, prices for regular unleaded petrol on the Mid North Coast last week ranged from $1.31 per litre at Port Macquarie up to $1.37 per litre at Bulahdelah.

The same report showed the cheapest regular unleaded petrol in NSW was available in Sydney for $1.12 per litre.

Bulahdelah was ranked the fifth most expensive of the 57 regular unleaded locations monitored by Bowser Buster.

Mr English said United’s ongoing strategy would “bring a better deal” and “keep prices low”.

“People have been paying too much for too long,” he said.

“We are going to continue with our aggressive pricing strategy and maintain our position on providing the best priced fuel in the region.”

In addition to a wide range of fuels, United Bulahdelah also offers convenience foods, hot and cold drinks, an ATM and all new facilities, including showers and baby change room.

Site managers, Arun Gudala and Kavya Kilaru, said they have already received some good feedback from locals and are looking forward to working with the community.

“We can offer the community the best quality service and lowest petrol prices,” Arun said.

“We will also offer monthly promotions on in-store items as well as providing competition fuel-wise.”

Bulahdelah United is located at the old O’Sullivan’s Retreat Roadhouse site on the corner of the Pacific Highway and Wootton Way.
