The Groom, Callum, is from the Isle of Man. Leah is Australian. They met in Thailand and the rest is history.

The wedding has involved many thousands of miles of international travel for everyone to be here to celebrate the nuptials.

Gary Hill told News Of The Area, “The international visitors are loving the beaches here and the temperature of the water in the lead up to the big event.”

The Bride took on the heritage of the clans from the Isle of Man, wearing her colours (tartan) and also nodded to her Greek ancestry with the crossing of the veils included in the ceremony.

There are many Gaelic wedding traditions and the now ubiquitous hens and bucks nights can be traced to Celtic traditions as can the wearing of colours (tartan), or the pinning of colours (tartan) onto the bride’s dress after the ceremony is completed.

Greek wedding traditions include performing the famous Zorba dance and the crossing of the veils.

The multicultural wedding was held on the foreshore at Little Beach this week and was attended by over 80 family and friends from across the miles.

The team at the NOTA wish the Bride and Groom the very best.
