Whizzy visits libraries with tap water message

That is the tune MidCoast Water’s well known mascot Whizzy the water drop will be singing as he entertains preschool aged children at library storytime sessions across the mid coast as part of this year’s National Water Week activities.

Whizzy and his helpers will be attending seven story time sessions as part of MidCoast Water’s extensive program to raise awareness about the importance of staying hydrated during the national event.

Whizzy entertains the children through song and dance, imparting important messages about drinking tap water, rather than sugary beverages.

“Turning on the tap is the easiest way for our kids to stay hydrated and healthy,” Whizzy explains.

At the sessions preschoolers find out some cool facts and water and how it works in our bodies, before having a visit from the giant water drop.

Whizzy will visit Tea Gardens Library – 9.30am Monday 24 October.

Whizzy will also be helping MidCoast Water promote the Choose Tap message to more than 80 local preschools and primary schools over the coming months.
