Bulahdelah firing hot.

PENNANTS bowling competitions bring similar-ability teams together to compete from local zone areas.

In their most recent contest, Manning Point Bowling Club versed the Bulahdelah Bowling Club to decide the Zone 11 Grade 4 winner of the day in a fiery contest between the two clubs.

“We were a bit off the pace and didn’t have a full team and we had a few that hadn’t competed before.

“The Manning team came in here with a good game plan and pushed hard,” Bulahdelah bowler Guy Rowe told News Of The Area.

“It was a matter of one or two shots at the end and Manning Point was the better team on the day.”

Bulahdelah Bowling Club director and bowler Greg Kirkham said, ”About half way through Bulahdelah was leading but Manning Point took over, played a fantastic game and came through at the end.”

John Hones of Manning Point Bowling Club commented, “It was a very enjoyable day and played in the right spirit by everyone.

“This is our second time here. We really look forward to coming to Bulahdelah and it was a fantastic day.”

After 63 ends over three games of 21 ends each the eventual score was Bulahdelah 53 and Manning Point 70, giving the visiting team Manning Point a nine-point win to Bulahdelah’s one point.
