Walshie from Great Lakes FM radio will be broadcasting live from the showground on Saturday with loads of giveaways and competitions to be held throughout the day.

Show Society committee member Mitchell Blanch said a fast-moving IWF Wrestling performance has been added to this year’s program.

The wrestling show features a mix of giant heavyweight matches, daredevils and tag teams and is sure to keep the masses entertained.

The official opening will take place at 2.30pm on Saturday with MidCoast Deputy Mayor Katheryn Smith, Federal Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie and Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead in attendance.

The non-stop action will continue well into the evening on both days with the camp draft and rodeo some of the Friday night highlights.

The crowd favourite demolition derby and fireworks spectacular on Saturday will bring the two-day event to an end.

Mitchell said this year’s show is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever.

“The pavilions are ready, the showground is in great shape and we are hoping for good weather,” he said.

“The committee is looking forward to getting underway and showcasing everything the area has to offer.”

Other attractions include agricultural and pavilion exhibits, cattle judging, working dog trials, pet competition, animal nursery, woodchopping, mower demonstrations and the popular Men’s Chocolate Cake Auction.

The 2017 Bulahdelah Show runs from Friday 17 to Saturday 18 November.
