21 Years for Myall Arts & Craft Art Shows

Next year the Myall Arts and Craft Centre will celebrate 21 years of Art and Craft Shows. January 9, 10 and 11 will see the 2015 Annual Art and Craft Show for the Centre.

Susan Truscott from the Centre said that Event Organiser, Fran Nicols, has called on her willing band of volunteers to help organise the three room, three day event.Myall Arts & Craft Fran Nicols

“Paintings, Mosaics, pottery, soft crafts, woodwork and jewellery are just some of the pieces that will be available for sale at the Centre,” Susan told Myall Coast News.

Designed to highlight the talent of many of the Centre members this event actually evolved from what was once the Hut Group.

In its earlier form there were many paintings and a small amount of craft and often there was even the odd jar of pickles.

Today each of the work rooms at the Centre will be transformed to display all the goods on offer as best they can.

Susan said, “Fran is very excited about the walk down memory lane visitors will get when they come to the show.”

“Money raised at the Show will go toward a Community Project in keeping with the Centres desire to show active support for the local Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest area,” she said

“Last year that money helped light up the Ambulance Station.”
