TWO young track and field athletes have excelled at the regional athletics level this month, and have earnt their place at the State Athletics.
Hudson Wells, and Jack Deguara are both from Medowie Public School, and will be competing at State as part of the Hunter Region team in Sydney on 19 and 20 October.
Or Hudson is going for long jump, in which he managed a personal best at Regional. He is in year 4.
Jack is going for the 200m and 800m, in which he beat his personal best by 5 seconds at Regionals. He is in Year 6.
Both boys train with Coach Dennis Pitt from Spectrum Sport Sciences, twice a week in Newcastle and also in Medowie.
