Bennetts Beach will soon play host to one of the season’s biggest surf boat carnivals.
Up to 100 crews from the Central Coast to the Queensland border are expected to take part in the iconic Boat Series Challenge on the weekend of the 10 and 11 December.

This is only the second time the lower North Coast Branch clubs have joined forces with the Street Series for the combined Challenge.
In the run up to the event, Tea Gardens Hawks Nest SLSC Surf Boat Crews travelled to Swansea Belmont in Newcastle last Sunday to compete in the second round of the Streets series.
Crews were looking to build on the club’s overall success in Round 1 and results didn’t disappoint with all crews making it into finals contention.
The Masters Men’s ECs came a very close third in the final with all first three crews finishing on the same wave.
The Masters Men’s Long Strokers were consistent again with a fifth placing against younger competition.
The Ladies, the Hawks Nest White Pointers, with two new crew members, finished fourth overall and continue to improve every week.
“The training everyone is doing is providing good results every carnival now,” Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Club member Peter Rogers told News Of The Area
“The Club is going from strength to strength,” he added.
So if you’d like to catch some spectacular surf action head to Bennetts Beach on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 December.
The Clubhouse will be open to the public to have a drink on the verandah, soak up the action and show their support for our local boat crews.
