With this in mind, the Reverend Peter Adkins from St Andrew’s Anglican Church is leading a seminar called ‘Ageing with Grace’.

“Living in an area with the demographic we’ve got, we wanted to help people on the journey of ageing well, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually,” Reverend Adkins said.

“This is a first for us, a friend of mine did it in his Church and I’m following his lead, because it was a great success.”

Among the presenters at the Seminar will be Dr Steve Sylvester, Registered Nurse Karen Partridge, Psychologist Ron Farrell Anne Hepplewhite from Lance Boots Funerals and of course Reverend Adkins.

“We want people to live life to the full, everyone is welcome, young old, any denomination, it’s open to the entire community.”

Reverend Adkins added, “We will be asking for feedback and if it goes well, we’ll be happy to do a similar seminar every year.”

The ‘Ageing with Grace’ Seminar is being held at the Tea Gardens Anglican Church on the corner of Witt and Ogden Streets on Saturday 16 February from 9am until 1pm.
