The third annual Bob Royal whiting fishing competition was a great success and has contributed around $2000 towards the Lions’ Club Centenary Park project on Tanilba’s waterfront.
The Croker family really cleaned up big time with three of the children walking away with some $250 in prize money.

Their secret? According to Josh Croker, they scooped the pool by fishing between Tanilba Bay and Mallabula using locally pumped nippers for bait.
Results were as follows:
Open section: (red spot) Shane Vichre.
Boys:(red spot) 1st P. Hagen. 2nd T. Hamilton. (sand) Josh Croker.
Girls: (red spot) Joanna Booth. (sand) 1st Jorja Croker. 2nd Nicole Croker.
Tilligerry Lions would like to thank the following sponsors who made the competition possible: Margaret Brewer;
