THE Women Artists of the Myall are holding a special art exhibition featuring works by local women artists over the Easter break.

The exhibition showcases the creative work of ten women from Bulahdelah and surrounds. There’s something for everyone here – weaving, sculpture, jewellery, photography, paintings, drawings and prints.

Participating artists include Lou Young, Pauline Syron-Coxon, Sandy Shuetrim, Jen Scanlon, Jackie O’Connell, Karen Noble, Anna McKendry, Christine du Fresne, Diana Dean and Carol Archer.

The exhibition will be held at the Bulahdelah War Memorial Hall and Memorial Garden, on 18-24 April at 72-74 Crawford St, Bulahdelah, NSW, 2423.

The free exhibition will be open from 10am – 4pm daily.

The event will be officially opened on 18 April at 7pm with an evening gathering.

Carol Archer one of the event organisers told News Of The Area, “There will be some one hour artists talks including one by Anna McKendry where she will share the secrets of her digital photographs on 20 April from 11am.”

Lou Young will also be speaking the same afternoon about making sculptures using recycled materials at 3pm.

There will also be weaving and watercolour workshops.
