More than 40 people took part in the barefoot social bowls evening held at Bulahdelah Bowling Club last Wednesday.
Laughter, lively encouragement and cheers constantly echoed around the greens during the 12-end match.

The teams were made up of players of all levels of ability and ranged in age from young adults to the young at heart.
Bowler Grant Bidgood said the weekly social bowls evening was all about having a good time.
“It’s not a competition, it’s a social event just for a bit of fun,” he said.
“The gameplay varies each week, it depends on how many people we get.”
Mr Bidgood said some weeks they have a team’s event and at other times they just play triples or pairs.
“We just play it by ear, it depends on how many people sign up each week,” he said.
“Sometimes we’ve had 25 bowlers and some weeks we’ve had over 40.”
The bowlers pay $5 each to register for the social games which is then returned in prize money at the end of the evening.
The social barefoot bowls evening is held each Wednesday at Bulahdelah Bowling Club.
Registration opens from 5.00pm with play commencing at 5.30pm.
Good to see so many locals turn up week after week. The club is definitely going forward. 25 to 4o bowlers every Wednesday. Great to see. #keepitgoing.
