The festival will take place over the long weekend, 9-12 June.

This year, the festival has given the title of ‘Ambassador’ for the very first time to local beauty queen Emilie-rae Guihot.

Ms Guihot is the current reigning Mrs Galaxy Australia, and she is proud to be the inaugural Bluewater Country Music Festival Ambassador.

Ms Guihot told News Of The Area, “I am so honoured to have been asked to play a special role in this wonderful festival.”

“There will be lots of events happening over the weekend, all over the Bay, with family fun and something for everyone.”

“Personally, on Sunday I’ll be going on a lunch cruise to Salamander Shores, and in the evening I will be introducing Becky Cole at her concert at the Soldiers Point Bowling Club,” she said.

A large number of venues across the greater Bay area are hosting events this year, with the total number of events, concerts and performances exceeding eighty in number.

The Bay will come alive with the sounds of a multitude of talented performers, turning our shores into a guitar-picking paradise for one relaxing Queen’s Birthday long weekend.

News Of The Area is looking forward to reporting from a number of performance venues, and rubbing shoulders with some of the industry greats.
