Bus crash incident in Northmead

A number of road closures are in place following a bus crash in Northmead.

About 2.40pm today (Wednesday 15 June 2016), police and emergency services were called to Boundary Road, near Kleins Street, following reports that a bus had crashed into a number of parked cars.

There were no people in the parked cars when the incident occurred.

The bus driver, aged in his 50’s, was taken to Westmead Hospital for assessment.

There were no passengers in the bus.

Police from Parramatta Local Area Command continue to investigate the incident.

Motorists are strongly advised to avoid the area and delay travel where possible.
