A FEMALE driver was taken to Manning Base Hospital with a suspected head injury after her car rolled on the Pacific Highway near Bulahdelah.

The vehicle was reported to have been swerving over the road as it travelled southbound near the Bulahdelah exit at about 12.40pm on Saturday 18 June.

The car then swerved harshly to the left and crossed a grassed area before verging onto the off ramp where it mounted an embankment and rolled.

The car finally came to a rest on its wheels completely blocking the off ramp to the highway.

Bulahdelah Police report the vehicle was driven by a female from the Newcastle area.

Police investigations into the accident are continuing.
