FOR many years now, the tradition of MidCoast Council staff gathering in the Council’s Forster office foyer, instruments in hand, to sing carols as a thank you to our community has seen huge support.

Each year, over a hundred people have packed into the Foyer to share some Christmas cheer, sing some carols and have some fun at the year’s end.

For the first time, this year several of our talented musicians are away on the last working day before Christmas, leaving a giant hole in their music-making ability. “But we don’t give up easily!” Council said.

“We’re extending a special invitation to everyone to drop by the Forster office at 9am on Friday 22 December where, no matter what, there will be a performance of Christmas carols accompanied by the voices of Council staff.”

“For some years now, the crowd has been delighted by the performance from ‘Kids Musik with Janelle’ and Janelle has stepped up with an expanded repertoire from her gorgeous protégés.”

“Thanks to Janelle and other community minded performers working with us, there will be carols, special items and the ‘Kids’ choir.”

“We’ve had word that a very ‘special’ visitor for the children is still able to attend and will bring some lolly bags in keeping with tradition.”

Everyone is invited – bring your friends, family and especially children – and your best singing voice!
