Coach Neil Reynolds disappointed Hawks couldn’t play last home game

The Dudley Magpies disrupted a major day in the Hawks calendar by forfeiting the last round of the 2015 competition.

A gala day in appreciation of sponsors and supporters was planned for the last home game.

Amid rumor of Dudley’s action, club secretary Neil Reynolds said, “All week I have been saying that they wouldn’t forfeit, they are a strong and proud club, and realise the importance of game days.”

“Their decision has caused some angst within the Club, however we cannot worry about things we cannot control”.

The two points from the forfeit put the Hawks into clear 3rd position, giving them a re-match with Cardiff in the qualifying semi final. The game will be played at the Lakeside Sporting Complex at 1:20pm on Saturday 29 August.

All games, including the grand final will be played at Lakeside this year.
