COFFS Harbour’s best baseballers have done their region proud winning a state country title.

Coffs Harbour Baseball Association’s senior representative team won the Division B Senior title at the NSW Country Championships in Blacktown.

The Coffs Harbour team went through the Championships undefeated, including a 9-7 win in the grand final against the Central Coast.

Coffs Harbour started their Country Championships in fine fashion with a 15-4 win against Port Macquarie.

The Coffs team had another dominant win in their second game beating Wagga Wagga 17-4.

The Coffs Harbour Baseball Association side had a 5-4 win against Newcastle in their semi-final, before their grand final victory.

Coffs Harbour Baseball Association president Ben McCall gave his highlights of the Country Championships.

“Probably being undefeated and winning the semi-final and the final against two strong areas,” he said.

“And the final, to come back from 5-0 down in the first inning to take it out was some effort in representative baseball.”
Coffs Harbour Baseball Association’s current season is headed towards its finals series.

The competition features four clubs; the Bellingen Brewers, Coffs Harbour All Stars, Sawtell/Toormina Dodgers, and Woolgoolga Bluesox.

A-grade, B-grade and junior games are played on Saturdays at the Coffs Coast Sport & Leisure Park.
