Daryl Braithwaite To Perform in Coffs Harbour

Daryl Braithwaite, iconic Australian singer/songwriter and ARIA Hall Of Fame Inductee will be performing at the Moonee Beach Hotel.

 

DARYL Braithwaite, iconic Australian singer/songwriter and ARIA Hall Of Fame Inductee will be touring the Mid North Coast in 2022 and performing at the Moonee Beach Hotel on Saturday 15 January.

Braithwaite’s hit single ‘The Horses’ reached number one on the ARIA Singles Chart and to this day remains an anthem for generations of Australians.

Hugh Gilroy, General Manager at the Moonee Beach Hotel is excited to host the massive event.

“As a venue we are extremely excited to host this massive event on 15 January.

“This will be one of many large events we will host, there are plenty more booked over summer, as we continue to be the home of live music and entertainment for the Coffs area.

“It coincides nicely with our new Mexican cocktail bar where we have 24 tequilas to choose from and we will shortly be launching our new Mexican menu to complement our traditional classics menu.

“It’s very exciting times leading into the summer and we haven’t finished yet,” said Hugh.

Daryl Braithwaite was the front man and vocalist for 1970’s band Sherbet where he rode a wave of local and international success with songs such as Howzat and Summer Love propelling the band to superstar status.

Braithwaite went on to embark on a highly successful solo career which included a number one ARIA Album Chart for his album Edge (1988) featuring the hit singles As The Days Go By and One Summer.

In 2020, Braithwaite joined a host of local and international artists to perform at Fire Fight Australia, Concert For National Bushfire Relief in front of an audience in excess of 70,000 at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium.

Braithwaite told News Of The Area he is looking forward to returning to the Coffs Coast.

“The Coffs Coast is a stunning part of the world where the people have a strong appreciation for music, I am so looking forward to returning to the beautiful Coffs Coast,” he said.
