The last week of school, daycare and preschool saw children across our area celebrating with Easter hat parades and craft galore.

Every year, students work hard preparing their festive bonnets in anticipation of the big event.

Using colourful cut outs of eggs and bunnies, countless craft items and creativity and glue sticks galore, the students designed their own masterpieces.

Parent, grandparents, aunt and uncles, joined the children at school to watch and wave as the students walked around the circle with their classmates, parading their designs proudly.

Teachers also got into the spirit of things by wearing their handmade hats.

Medowie Coles and Medowie Woolworths ensured that no one missed out when they each invited a very generous Easter Bunny to visit their stores, providing activities and Easter eggs for everyone.

Coles Medowie representative, Tina Brown, told News Of The Area, “The Easter Bunny visiting Coles was a delight for everyone, young and old.”

“Easter eggs were given out, and we had a colouring-in competition and a ‘find the bunny’ comp where children had to find the bunny hidden in the store.”

“It was a wonderful day,” she said.

News Of The Area hopes that all Medowie and Tilligerry families had a wonderful Easter celebration.
