Get Ready Weekend for Rural Fire Service at Hawks Nest Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest by NOTA - September 3, 2015 The Rural Fire Service is having a Get Ready Weekend on 12 and 13 September at Hawks Nest. Helmut Panhuber, Don O’brien, Deborah Clarke and Ralph Clark The purpose of Get Ready Weekend is to encourage people to act now to prepare themselves and their family in the event of a bush fire in their area. As it happens, the weekend coincides with the Hawks Nest Wildside Festival and so our local RFS brigade will be out in force at the Festival outside the Community Hall in Hawks Nest on Saturday 12 September. They will be providing a wealth of information, handouts and advice to the community on ways in which you can prepare yourself for the upcoming bush fire season.
