Join in the fun at Stroud’s Twilight Christmas Street Market

With face painting, balloons and sweets for the kids, R and R Property is sure to be a popular store to visit.

COME one, come all and join in the fun!

This year has been a shocker in so many ways.

There was even a moment when we wondered if we would even have Christmas, but thankfully we do have a Christmas to look forward to and it’s fast approaching.

We’re all keen to make the most of it and Stroud has so much to celebrate, so bring on the cheer!

Stroud retailers and home based businesses are combining to turn it on for everyone with our Twilight Christmas Street Market to be held between 5-8pm on Friday December 11 along Cowper Street’s business hub.

Promising to be bigger and better than last year, all Cowper Street business owners have been invited to participate and after bushfires, drought and a COVID-19 impacted year, businesses are keen to not only recover some ground, but connect with customers new and old, from near and far where we can all come together for what will be a fabulous evening.

Stores will remain open until 8pm, a selection of home based businesses will join in, hosting colourful street stalls on footpaths and verge areas to promote their wide range of products.

Rumour has it that “The Grinch” may make an appearance too!

Denise Haynes of R and R Property is one enthusiastic participant.

“Our strong little community held tight over what has been a challenging year. “Business supported business and our wonderful community supported us all.

“All local businesses are invited to participate and we’re going to have some fun,” said Denise.

With face painting, balloons and sweets for the kids and a welcome drink for the adults, R and R Property is sure to be a popular store to visit.

Heidi’s Hairalicious are holding a Fashion Parade, while Stroud Hardware and Produce is offering discounts and providing hampers to those who have been disadvantaged.

Crafty Friends will offer a generous storewide 15% discount and Stroud Butchery has joined with Stroud Valley Harvest to offer ham and pickle tastings.

The Crepe Myrtle Tea & Coffee Rooms are open, offering Fabulous Giftware and Homewares.

The Central Hotel, Stroud Friendly Grocers & Bonza’s Cafe are also Open for Business.

The Stroud Country Club are holding their Monster Christmas Raffles.

With so many stores, artisans and growers involved, Stroud Twilight Christmas Market has something for everyone.

R&R Property will also have their ‘Giving Tree’ out and ready to receive donated gifts.

The R&R Giving Tree is a give back program they have been running for 10years, assisting those families whose little ones may not be able to otherwise receive a gift at Christmas time.

There’s no better time to support your local business community by shopping local, joining in the community spirit and of course, having loads of fun.

Denise Haynes of local Real Estate Agency, R&R Property, encourages locals to come along, join in the fun and get behind your local business community.

“Remember that at the end of the day the super stores don’t sponsor your local community services or kids educational and sporting events, your local businesses do,” she said.
