Karuah IGA donated to community groups

Last month News Of The Area reporter Rachel Reitsma wrote on the generosity of the IGA at Bulahdelah with donations to a few local groups and a school.

This week and as part of the annual IGA Community Chest donations, the friendly staff from the IGA at Karuah were proud to donate to two worthy local groups.

IGA representative Julie Hill presented a cheque from Karuah IGA to Karuah Public school valued at $437.

Accepting the cheque and thanking Karuah IGA was Principal of Karuah Public School Julie Hubbard, and Acting Assistant Principal Kathi Henry.

Speaking with News Of The Area Julie Hubbard said, “The staff, students and parents greatly appreciate this donation from Karuah IGA. These funds will be used for purchase of numeracy equipment to assist in our students education.”

A further donation of $437 was also made to Karuah bowls Club.
