It was a very wild and windy day. And what a valiant performance by the Karuah Roos it will go down in history.

With the Roos being down a player for sin bin and the Gloucester boys proving hard to get down. Gloucester were in again 18/0.

The Roos never say die attitude and great team work was what kept their heads high for the second half.

It wasn’t long into the second half and we were over the line with Matt Croese #12 scoring the Roos first points of the game which Sam Croese #6 converted 24/6. But Gloucester was in again just after that 30/6.

The Roos held their heads high and just kept on going with some great runs by Ben Langdon, Matt Croese, Daniel Evans, Aden Callaghan, Jack Croese, Mitch O’Bryan, Matt Cameron, Dwayne Fleming, Luke Chapman, Luke Perry, Josh Page and Dylan Foley.

With an intercept from Josh Page the Roos were heading in the right direction and #4 Ryan Saunders was in and Sam converted taking the score to Roos 12 Magpies 30.

With 11minutes left in the game Mr Never Give Up #3 Josh was in for his second of the game and Sam’s kicking foot never put a foot wrong converting to even the score at 30 all.

7 and half minutes to go Gloucester saw the opportunity for a field goal and took it 31/30. They thought that they had it WON and were off to the Grand Final against Hinton next week.

But  the Roos kept their heads and just kept on ploughing on.

In the last dying minute we were attacking their line and they concede a penalty right in front of the posts. The only thing to do was to take the kick and Sam’s put it right over the black dot making it 6 from 6 for him. Took the bell and the final score to Karuah Roos 32 Gloucester Magpies 31.

Well done to both side it was a great game.
