LAST week the Karuah Roos travelled to Kurri Kurri to take on the Gloucester Magpies in the Preliminary Final for D Grade 2016.

It was a very wild and windy day. And what a valiant performance by the Karuah Roos it will go down in history.

7 and half minutes to go Gloucester saw the opportunity for a field goal and took it 31/30. They thought that they had it WON and were off to the Grand Final against Hinton next week.

But  the Roos kept their heads and just kept on ploughing on.

In the last dying minute we were attacking their line and they concede a penalty right in front of the posts. The only thing to do was to take the kick and Sam’s put it right over the black dot making it 6 from 6 for him. Took the bell and the final score to Karuah Roos 32 Gloucester Magpies 31.
