Kemp pledges to help Mid North Coast reach its “full potential”

Former Member for Oxley Melinda Pavey with the electorate’s newly elected state representative Michael Kemp.

MEMBER for Oxley Michael Kemp was last week notified of the NSW Electoral Commission’s distribution of preferences for the NSW State Election 2023.

“The official distribution of preferences were called at 1pm in the NSWEC Oxley Electoral Office and I am extremely honoured to be elected as the Member for Oxley,” said Mr Kemp, who contested the recent state election for the NSW Nationals.

“I’m grateful to the Oxley community for their support.

“As a country boy I will remain pragmatic and be their voice in Macquarie Street.

“Working together we can help the Mid North Coast to reach its full potential as a thriving and prosperous regional community.

“I will identify opportunities to improve our electorate by fighting to ensure our region receives its fair share of funding from the NSW Government.

“As local member, I will continue to pursue opportunities for the projects that are important to our region, and that have a clear local mandate from the voters of the Oxley electorate.”

Mr Kemp won 47.5 percent of the final primary vote, and 62.84 percent of the two party candidate preferred vote.
