Man and woman charged following drug supply offences at Tuncurry

Police attached to Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command have arrested and charged two men with allegedly supplying drugs in the Forster area.

From May 2015, Operation Jonquil was formed and comprises officers from Manning Great Lakes Detectives, to investigate the ongoing supply of prohibited drugs in Forster.

About 9.10pm on Friday 19 June 2015, police stopped and searched a car and the two occupants at The Lakes Way, Tuncurry.

Police will allege they located over 200 tablets, believed to be MDMA, and mobile phones.

Later in the evening police executed two search warrants at houses in Forster and Black Head. Police will further allege they located an amount of cannabis, liquid peptide, steroids and cash.

The pair was arrested and taken to Forster Police Station where they interviewed and charged.

The 23-year-old man was charged with supply commercial quantity of prohibited drug (MDMA) and deal in proceeds of crime. He was refused bail to appear in Forster Local Court today (Saturday 20 June 2015).

The 21-year-old man was charged with supply drug (MDMA) x three and possess prohibited drug x two. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Forster Local Court on 8 July 2015.

Investigations are continuing.
